Help It Make Sense

Services

I work with individuals aged 16 and over.

Sessions are offered face to face in Bristol or online.

Therapy approaches

My approach is tailored to the individual and their needs. I am trained in a number of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET)
  • Systemic approaches

I am accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP), demonstrating high standards of training and experience in CBT.

Difficulties I can help with

I support people with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Anxiety (social anxiety, panic, generalised anxiety, and the numerous other ways anxiety can manifest itself)
  • Stress and worry
  • Depression, low mood or anger
  • Trauma (including PTSD and complex-PTSD)
  • OCD
  • Phobias
  • Perfectionism
  • Emotional dysregulation
  • Interpersonal difficulties
  • Adjustment to life changes
  • Low self-esteem or self-criticism

This is by no means an exhaustive list. There are lots of reasons that somebody might seek a clinical psychologist. Sometimes it can be a matter of wanting to better understand our relationships with ourself and others, or figure out why we keep falling into unhelpful patterns.

Fees

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to all new clients. This is an opportunity to discuss what you are looking for and what I offer, to help decide together whether this feels like the right option for you.

Sessions cost £110 and last 50 minutes.

I currently accept the following private health insurance: Aviva, Bupa, Cigna, Vitality Health and AXA.
